Fancourt Golf Estate
George - Host of The President's Cup, 2003. At Fancourt, the home of Ernie Els, there are four courses, each offering a distinctive golfing experience.

The Links at Fancourt
This excellently conditioned parkland course takes its name from the mountain range that dominates the landscape of the Garden Route. The birdlife, water features and gardens provide a harmonious setting for this demanding course, also designed by Gary Player.

The Montagu Course at Fancourt
The second of the spectacularly beautiful parkland courses at Fancourt, the Monagu course was ranked the top course in South Africa by Golf Digest Magazine. This challenging course has been cleverly designed by Gary Player to test the abilities of all levels of golfers.

George Golf Club
Rated one of the top ten layouts in South Africa by Golf Digest, The George Golf Club is an easy to walk, natural woodland course. Bird life and indigenous flowers flourish against the magnificent backdrop of the Outeniqua Mountains.

Mossel Bay Golf Club
The Garden Route Golf Classic is held at the Mossel Bay Golf Club, on a course where there are seaviews from every tee. Recently upgraded at great expense, the links course at Mossel Bay is a treat that should not be missed by golfing enthusiasts.

Knysna Golf Club
This testing course wends its way among tree-lined fairways and tidal pools - a magnificent setting for a course which offers some of the finest bent grass greens in the Cape.

Plettenberg Bay Country Club
On this easy to walk course, set in a private nature reserve, all the greens and bunkers have been set to USGA regulations. As with all courses on the Garden Route, the mild temperate climate makes the Plettenberg Bay course one that can be played the whole year through.

Oudtshoorn Golf Club
Set like a green jewel in the arid landscape of the Little Karoo, the Oudtshoorn golf course incorporates the scrub and rocks of the terrain, providing a demanding, rewarding and pleasurable game for any golfer. A great course for winter golf, a visit to this pleasant country course can be combined with a tour of the Cango caves and ostrich farms for which Oudtshoorn is famous.

Goose Valley Golf Club - Plettenberg Bay
Originally a top class 9 hole course, Gary Player, who lives in Goose Valley, has designed a further 9 superb holes here. Set amid the lagoons and beaches of Plettenberg Bay, the beautiful surrounds of this eco-friendly golf course and its warm and welcoming atmosphere make a day at Goose Valley a memorable experience for golfers of any level.

Pezula Country Estate - Knysna
One of the most exciting and challenging courses in South Africa, Sparrebosch has been rated the best new golf course by SA Golf Digest Magazine. This links-style course runs alongside the sandstone cliffs of the famous Knysna Heads and offers magnificent views of the forest, the Knysna Lagoon and the Indian Ocean. The 14th hole has been built on the very breach of the cliffs. This championship course offers 5 tee options on every hole - a feature designed to provide a length of play for professional and amateur golfers alike.

Please note that booking in advance is necessary at most of the clubs especially during the holiday season (October to April). Soft spikes are compulsory on all South African golf courses. No cellular phones permitted on the golf course. No collarless shirts. No drawstring shorts. No trainers or open shoes allowed.
